Rogers has released the an official OS update for the Bold 9000 to OS 5.0.0.822. Here are some more details:

Package Version: 5.0.0.1385
Consisting of:

  • Applications: 5.0.0.822
  • Software Platform: 5.2.0.76
  • File name: 9000M_PBr5.0.0_rel1385_PL5.2.0.76_A5.0.0.822_Rogers_Wireless_Inc.exe
  • File size: 125.59MB

Head over to the Rogers software update portal at blackberry.com to get OS 5.0.0.822 for the Bold 9000.

    The update took out my media playback, including all ringtones, music and video. Rogers support was useless. After about 12 hours total invested I gave up and rolled back. Nice Rogers, really nice.

    I thought we're onto version 6 OS already why is Rogers only now pushing out version 5? what the!??!

    Basil: there is no OS 6 for Bold 9000

    M.A ….. : i have the same problem with the OS its buggy, rogers support can’t do anything, they themselves dont know much
