7″ is the major reason I want to purchase this tablet. I think people who walk around with iPads look like loons. It’s just to big to be portable.

Two things: I am looking forward to the PlayBook, the size sounds just fine and it’s a BB. As others have commented, I also hope the res is outstanding. Good just won’t cut it with the haters. I will get one.
Second, I was ready to show everyone how well this site worked with os6 but every time I clicked in the comment box I was taken back to the top of the screen. The site loaded normal, which is to say, slow. But, the site did load and I was able to read it just fine. But I did have to go to desktop to comment.

unless they adapt android os or made several enhancements to playbook, dropt the price etc. the smartphone is on the early stage and I bet 3-5 yrs from now steve jobs will have a difficult time dealing with competitors and apple products and policies will need to be fixed to stay on top.

7″ seems to be a good size, that will make it almost exactly double the size of the Storm. But how big is too big? That said, it’s more about pixels per inch than physical size. If RIM takes a dump on the PlayBook with a crappy resolution screen, it’s gonna FAIL just like Jobs says. If it’s a good high res screen, people will keep laughing at Jobs’ inanities.

Oh hey, while I’m here, does anyone from BBCool ever actually try to USE this site from a BlackBerry browser? It’s downright awful. Very very slow to load, nearly impossible to make comments (thanks to Disqus crap I suspect), in short it’s really poor for a site that’s supposed to be “Voice of the BlackBerry Community” to be nearly unusable on a BlackBerry.
