If you had bothered to read the blog @ Kik or undertake even cursory research - it is clearly evident that Kik was in the process of resolving noted concerns and issues. These are in the process of being rolled out for iPhone and Android based phones. The real question is - Why is RIM *NOT* permitting Kik from addressing these same issues for the Blackberry platform. The lack of objectivity or leaps to judgement with regards to Kik in your article is disingenuous. P.S. Kik was working with RIM for two (2) years with no apparent breach of contractual obligations.

Perhaps RIM has suggested to Kik that they remove whatever is helping them explode virally because it’s a security concern and Kik won’t comply. In general, it’s important that everyone step back from the situation until both sides have had time to explain their position and we truly understand what the root problem is here.

Uhmmmmm, not really. If RIM wants to pull KiK(evil little app) from App World, then that is all they have to do. It is up to KiK to comply with RIM's requests (if any), not RIM's job to explain why (except to the KiK App developers) they have pulled the app out.

Cheers,
