RIM has sold a great number of smartphones and it’s thanks to their carrier partners and retail outlets like RadioShack. RadioShack recently announced that they’ve reached an impressive milestone: one million BlackBerrys sold.
Remember that RadioShack has a partnership with LIVESTRONG (The Lance Armstrong Foundation) in support of its global mission to improve wellness and fight cancer. For each LIVESTRONG product sold, RadioShack donates a portion of the profits to LIVESTRONG’s Global Cancer Campaign.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is expected to go official with BlackBerry 6 but for those of you who can’t wait for it to get out of carrier approval, a leaked copy of 6.0.0.344 has found its way online. BlackBerry 6 is a huge improvement over OS 5 and almost every 9700 user is going to appreciate this upgrade. It’s too bad more devices didn’t see a BlackBerry 6 upgrade, but by the time most users are on 6, we’ll probably be seeing OS 7 (the QNX version?). Here are the links you’ll need:
OANDA has launched a new forex trading app for BlackBerry. OANDA’s trade platform was voted “Best Trading Platform” by World Finance in 2009 and the new app is the company’s 4th mobile trading application. Over the past week we’ve seen the launch of two new BlackBerrys including the BlackBerry Style and the Bold 9780. The BlackBerry Style is a unique flip form factor coupled with a full QWERTY keyboard. The Bold 9780 is a refresh to the Bold 9700, and while it’s nothing new form factor wise, it’s all the goodness from the 9700 with a slight spec boost. Be sure to check out the PlayBook news too.
