what about the copyright content from itunes? A couple older albums I recently downloaded from iTunes will not sych with my BB because of copyright restrictions… Of course, all of my music transfers to my ipod just fine.

you need to check with Apple on that. I believe Apple allowed for redownloading your music content – when the option of no copyright purchases became available – at no cost. You may have to search Apple’s technical support pages to get the low down but it’s most likely still possible. I’m saying to search with Apple because the encryption is working as intended: Sync only with directly supported players by Apple due to their music sales rights negotiated with music moguls/record companies.

That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. It was not free but I was able to redownload the iTunesPlus version of the songs – DRM free.
