I don’t pay much attention to rumors, but while demoing the PlayBook RIM should have assured the developers about battery life. I’m also surprised its love affairs with Adobe AIR platform, so much so that RIM kept us dark about native/Java SDK for PlayBook. How many corporates apps developed on AIR platform?

I’m not sure I buy it. QNX is a micro-kernel based OS that can run on RISC based architectures, and is designed for embedded devices. That is pretty much the perfect combination for a mobile environment.
