Grindr Xtra is out of beta and is now available for Bold, Curve and Tour BlackBerry devices. The Grindr social network now boasts 1.9 million users in 192 countries worldwide and they’re currently adding 8,000 new members every day. With more device coverage, this number is sure to grow.
Unlike the iPhone version, BlackBerry users only have the paid version accessible to them. This is a pretty big setback for anyone who wanted to use the service without paying, but as we’ve mentioned previously, apparently ad conversion rates couldn’t justify the cost of development. With the BlackBerry version, users get special features such as keyboard shortcuts and no banner ads.
Grindr costs $4.97 per month and is available for the following models: Bold 9000, Bold 9650, Bold 9700, Bold 9780, Curve 8300, Curve 8310, Curve 8320, Curve 8330, Curve 8330m, Curve 8350i, Curve 8520, Curve 8530, Curve 8900, Curve 8910, Curve 8990, Curve 9300, Curve 9330, and Tour 9630.
