Iconorific is a suite of apps that gives you the data you want to see on your homescreen at a glance. There is no setup for these apps and they display relevant information on the icon itself. Examples of some Iconorific apps include Data Meter, Monthly Data Icon, Monthly Minutes Icon and Talk Meter Icon. Whether you travel a lot or just want to keep a close eye on your device, these apps can help you out.

RIM has been working on the BlackBerry Messenger SDK so developers could leverage the mobile social platform. BBM boasts 35 million users and has been gaining momentum as a platform ever since it launched in early 2006.
Telmap was the first to integrate BBM into their real-time location app since RIM’s announcement of the platform last September.
Telmap uses BBM to manage friends and permissions, then the Telmap Mobile Location Companion app displays the location. The Location Companion app allows users to navigate to their friends’ location either by car or walking.

Sentinel remotely tracks your organization’s mobile devices to make sure they’re remaining in a known and trusted state. Veracode’s cloud-based application platform combined with Fixmo Sentinel software will work to provide enterprise-level device integrity assurance. BlackBerryCool is now working with Bplay to serve apps, games, themes and ringtones. We still have a mobihand account so you can find your apps on our store. The difference is that the site no longer links to Mobihand and we’re going to be working with Bplay to help build their app catalog. This new change won’t affect coverage in any way, and the only difference is we’re making it easier to find premium content. Here are the links to our store sections:
The main store page is at blackberrycool.bplay.com.
Our games page is at blackberrycool.bplay.com/games.
Themes can be found at blackberrycool.bplay.com/themes.
Ringtones are here blackberrycool.bplay.com/ringtones.
Also, be sure to check out the mobile versions as they’re fully optimized and look great on touchscreens. Enjoy!

Today at BlackBerry World, RIM announced that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 smartphones will be shipping with Augmented Reality software Wikitude. This will be one of the first utilizations of the new Bold series’ digital compass and will allow users to browse the over 150 million Augmented Reality items already in their system.
The Wikitude World Browser has won the “best Augmented Reality browser” in 2009 and 2010 by readers of Augmented Planet.
I look forward to see what sort of apps and use cases come out of the new Bolds’ AR-friendly features. The influx of BlackBerry users into the AR space will mean a lot more user generated content. It will be interesting to see AR leveraged by BBM’s colossal user base.
