smartphone apps

We’re back to share the latest in awesome apps for the three biggest smartphone platforms. Lately we’ve been seeing developers succeeding on BlackBerry by looking to success on other platforms. Ninja Fruit Bash, the Fruit Ninja clone by, hit the Number 1 Downloaded App recently in App World, and Angry Farm by Smarter-Apps has seen tremendous success. Check out the latest apps on other platforms and see what might be the next big winner.

Fingerprint Protection Pro

fingerprint pro

One of the top security apps on the App Store, this app allows you to lock your iPhone using only your own finger print to unlock it. This would be a good app for people who want that extra assurance that the contents of their iPhone is super safe.

Demon Cam

demon cam

Photo editing apps are all the rage right now, and Demon Cam wants in on the action. It’s a video editing app for iPad that lets you transform people’s faces into demonic faces. I had a look at some screen shoots and comments, and some of the faces are actually really creepy. Great for a bit of entertainment when you have nothing else to do.

texttab for android

This app is fairly simply, but a great concept. It allows you to receive and send SMS text messages to you contacts on your Android tablet via Bluetooth.

Another stunning HD platformer wherein you get to play a cute little robot through 30 action-packed levels, challenging boss fights, and a bunch of extra content like mini games, achievements, character upgrades and more. This game received a lot of great reviews.

mobitask for blackberry

A great app for businesses with employees who are frequently ‘in the field’. It allows them to connect into their workplace on their BlackBerry smartphone and the PlayBook as well as a whole slew of other features like electronic time stamps, GPS for employee tracking, and cross-platform capabilities.

Bubble Flow – Bubble Breaker with a TWIST

A fast-paced Tetris style game of moving bubbles. Match colours to pop the bubbles before your time runs out. The twist is that while you have to focus on matching up bubbles, there’s another row that’s slowly filling up at the bottom of the screen. It can get pretty intense!

That’s all for this week! Some great utility apps for each platform, and Android continues to wow us with their endless flow of HD titles for tablets. Let us know if you use any of these apps, or if you find an app or game for any of these platforms that you think we should share.
