The Beta Zone is a great place to get the latest apps from RIM that haven’t been released to the general public. The downside to the Beta Zone portal is that it’s a little cumbersome and the website isn’t even optimized for a BlackBerry. This is exactly why the App World Test Center is so great. Today, we see that the BBM Music service is now available in the test center, albeit still in closed beta. Hit the jump for more info.

The BBM Music service is pretty cool and we’re pleased with the launch. The downside is that while it’s a pretty cool service, we were really hoping that there would be more music services available for BlackBerry users. Android and iPhone users have a lot of innovative music apps to choose from and RIM focused on the developers and APIs, they would be able to encourage more apps rather than build them themselves.
It seems RIM has released the app in the Test Center to provide an easy update portal. We’re hoping this also means that more people have access to the beta and can get in on it for free, but RIM probably wants to keep these numbers fairly low. Give the download a try and let us know if you get access in the Beta Zone.
Check out BBM Music in App World and give the download a try. It’s a little strange that RIM used the vendor name RIM Ecommerce.
