The Documents to Go app on the PlayBook however is currently “incomplete” or “unfinished” or “unusable” – basically it’s “unacceptable” and it’s a deal breaker for my organization.  The same app on my BlackBerry Torch is much more refined, more capable and easier to use than the version on the PlayBook.  Calling it Documents to Go Professional doesn’t mean a thing if the app isn’t even finished.  My marketing execs wanted to make minor changes to PowerPoint documents and I sold them on choosing the PlayBook over the iPad (without having a chance to use the PlayBook before purchasing) based on this package.

YOU CANNOT MAKE ANY EDITS TO POWERPOINT DOCUMENTS ON THE PLAYBOOK!!  This is supposed to be “Professional Grade”.  I can make edits on my ViewSonic gTablet, I can make edits on my my wife’s iPad…not on the PlayBook!! Come on RIM!  You’d have my support if I had yours.  Make it do what you say it can do!

Another, not professional grade comment but useability comment, the PlayBook browser presents itself as PlayBook or BlackBerry, whatever it is, but some sites are not blocking pages based on that “user agent” data so they can charge “premiums” for browsing to them.  You have no option of changing that “user agent” data so now you can be the victim of selective web sites wanted to charge you more because you have a PlayBook.  Com on RIM!  You’d have my support if I had yours.  Give me some options so I don’t get to be a victim!
