Just go through Bursa Malaysia, previously known as KLSE (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) and you will see we have many high tech companies listed not only in the 2nd board (or now known as ACE Market) but also on the mainboard like MPI, Unisem (both MPI and UNISEM located in Ipoh Perak listed as world top 10 semi-conductor contract manufacturer) and others like Globetronic (burn-in test for Intel and AMD), ENG Tek, Atlan, AIC and many non-listed companies spill over from Singapore that located to Penang and Melaka (some in Selangor) such as Fairchild.

That show Malaysia have foreseen the growing of electronic and electrical Industry back in the 70s. So, don't be jealous. All this doesn't happen overnight and bear in mind the the M'sian Govenrment have done done anything about it (Many of them sleep on their job anyway) but from the private sector which the government cannot interfere.

For complement to our dear neighbor Bapak/Ibu Indonesia, Malaysia also losing out her competitive edge to China. Why do you want a small company like Blackberry setting up a manufacturing plant in Indonesia? They are losing out badly in the world of Smartphone market. Just concentrate in your primary sector like oil palm/rubber industry. Should send more smart Indonesian to Harward Business School and learn about the theory of Competitive Advantage. Or as stated in Sun Tzu's Art of War "???????????????????????????????????" So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
Personally, I believe Indonesia will be a Asean economy dragon (not a Tiger, Tiger is too small) again but before that...Learn from Anwar "Ilmu Tinggi, Rendah Diri"...

Malaysia has better tax incentive for new investment and not in Indonesia.

Try apply permit in Indonesia and you will be discourage. So many permit and have to go through all the corrupted Dinas (Government Department Agency).

Language problem (How many Indonesian can converse basic English).Lack of technical human resources (Degree and Diploma can be bought in Indonesia).

Lack of supporting industry specialty such as metal stamping, electroplating services, IC assembly, burn-in and test services and etc.

Lack of power supply in Indonesia. Indonesia always has power failure.

Indonesian government should look at their weakness before complaining about others out of jealousy and envy.

Yeah.. RIM will lose a lot of consumer in indonesia.
as we know Indonesia and Malaysia have been involve in many problems.
there will be negative sentiment of people in indonesia not to buy RIM product that manufactured in malaysia. I believe they better choose another BB that manufactured on different countries even it'll raise the cost.
just see and wait what happen next.
