The app selections include several hit game titles, productivity apps, and premium audio apps. The package would have cost over 100 dollars if it were purchased through App World.

Foursquare for BlackBerry Updated With Notification Tray and More

Foursquare is still going strong and updating the BlackBerry client with more features to keep you coming back. The most recent update features a notification tray that notifies you of activity in the system that you may want to know about. The biggest selling point for foursquare is deals and it’s still going to be some time before you notice a decent amount of deals in small towns and cities.

Fixmo has updated their extensive suite of BlackBerry utilities and is offering a discounted price of $7.99 down from $14.99 for a limited time. The update is free for Fixmo 2.0 users and sports a number of new features, including performance optimizations, BlackBerry 7 support and the ability to remove any of the 18 features that you don’t end up using.

Soon You Will Discover All Your Apps Through Facebook

There has been a long-standing issue with app discovery and that it has been relegated to some very basic features such as carousels/lists and categories. There are so many more effective ways that a person can discover an app and word-of-mouth is one of them. The problem is that word-of-mouth is difficult to track as it’s offline, but a recent facebook announcement points to the fact that the company will be owning the space entirely.

BlackBerry Outage Gets Taiwanese Animation Treatment

The Taiwanese animation studio NMA does a good job of making outrageously-exaggerated videos of relatively minor incidents in Western media and the recent BlackBerry outage is no exception. At one point, the video suggests that Google might have had something to do with the outage, just in case you had any doubt these videos were nothing but jokes. Video after the break.
