The Official Twitter client for BlackBerry continues to receive some fixes and polish in the BlackBerry Beta Zone before going live. This Twitter for BlackBerry update is sure to be a crowd-pleaser featuring animated avatars, an updated and organized emoticon list and anxiously anticipated multi-account support.
The latest version 18.104.22.168 fixes a few issues pertaining to freezing while loading feeds, freezing while scrolling thought feed items and fixing of the refresh button which sometimes gets -ahem- frozen.
There are still a few issues that remain before getting out of beta and becoming widely available. RIM is still working the new client’s integration with the BlackBerry Social Feeds app, which is currently having trouble replying to tweets using the correct account. There is also an intermittent issue with the client accessing the user’s location info.
If you want to try out the new first-party Twitter client before the masses do, head over to the BlackBerry Beta Zone and sign up for an account. The Twitter Beta for BlackBerry is available on devices running BlackBerry OS 5, 6 or 7.
