Search4BBM is a really interesting application that has grown in scope pretty tremendously since when we first wrote about it. When it first launched last June, Search4BBM was a site that would connect users on BBM through Facebook and potentially other social networks. Now, Search4BBM has grown to over 500K active users, making them a pretty significant database of PINs and users. With this database, Search4BBM has grown into a service for connecting businesses and needs, rather than just users.

With the Search4BBM app, you can now look for Locksmiths on BBM and book services such as manicures. You can look up friends and coworkers on Search4BBM assuming they have signed up for the service. It seems the whole service depends on having all of these people integrated into the user database, so it may be more or less useful depending on how popular the service is in your area.
