Wikitude Announces First Augmented Reality SDK

Augmented Reality Pioneer Wikitude announced the first Augmented Reality SDK. The beta release of the Wikitude SDK allows developers to quickly deploy AR features into their BlackBerry 10 apps.

Wikitude’s ARchitect engine empowers developers to create AR-capable apps using HTML5, CSS or Javascript to make compelling AR worlds with minimal development time. I’m glad this SDK has been launched. I find the Wikitude app’s use cases are a bit broad and general but in the hands of a dedicated developer with a specific use case in mind, Augmented reality can really shine. I’m anxious to see what sorts of apps and games that developers come up with.
