Pretty lame comment... you don't demonstrate how the CBC being funded by tax dollars determines its journalistic performance in any way. Or that the "stature" of RIM, or any other player at, or not at, CES is based on "innovation". I would suggest that marketing, hard work, and luck all combine to have more to do with "stature" than innovation does.

where do these guys come from. RIM has been showing off BB10 to carriers, developers, and even enterprise partners. The consumers have been getting regular glimpses of the OS, UI and apps being available. CES is good for home appliances and accessory manufactures. all major Mobile companies are doing their own launchs in seperate events (including Apple, Google, Samsung, Nokia, MSFT)
i respect your opinion and if u think playbook sucks good for you. but dont jump to say no one but managers actually care about BlackBerry. there are tons of people like me who love the brand and its products.

I think you're exaggerating the need to be at CES. It's not the show "the world is looking at right now". Just look at the keynote speakers. It's a pretty boring show. Here's who is keynoting:

Qualcomm
Consumer Electronics Association
Panasonic
Verizon
Samsung

Would you really fly all the way to Vegas to hear these guys talk?

hey dickhead- Playbook has added TONS of games since their 2.0 update. compared to the iPad, it is the most productive tablet, actually compared to anything else. the OS is fast, fluid and snappy. their browser loads nearly 95% of any site that a desktop would, ESPECIALLY the fact that they support flash. excellent battery life, nice and portable. and runs Android apps BETTER than Android itself. as for developers- where have you been for the past 8 months? RIM has held Jams in dozens of cities and parts of the world and devs have agreed BB10 is the easiest platform to develop for. Devs are porting Android & iOs apps within a single day. There will be major apps coming to BB10 when launched this month. The January 30th events held in major US and world cities is what everyone is waiting for...have you been living under a rock?

what a blindfolded article it is... I recently got my playbook as a present, and it sucks. big time, no apps at all, the ones that are present in the appworld are 99% pure rubbish, even the facebook app sucks. So, basically the situation is like this: I (and the rest of the world) am extremly surprised that RIM is still alive. No apps right now, the whole ecosystem they designed is wrong, from the scratch. What they should do? redesign it, and bring all the developers. How they should do that? Show the new bb10 off at every single occasion there is, to bring in customers, to bring in developers, to make ppl believe that they are not dead, they are even worth looking at. And what are they doing? They are skipping the show which the world is looking at right now? nobody besides the 50 years old low lvl managers actually cares about the blackberry, nobody watches their stupid keynotes (even I didnt watch it before I got a playbook). Skipping the CES was the worst thing they could do, and they are practically hitting the nails in their own coffin.

Well played RIM, well played.

Well played RIM, well played.

what a blindfolded article it is...
