Blippar Image Recognition App Brings Ads to Life on BlackBerry 10

Blippar is a new app on BlackBerry 10 that is also available on other platforms. The app is an image-recognition app that acts like a combination of a QR code and Augmented Reality. So far, it seems the only thing Blippar really does is display ads, which begs the question why anybody in their right mind would actually want to use it. If it was like Google Glass, then great, that makes a lot of sense. But if you’re just going to check out Domino’s Pizza deals, the web seems sufficient. RIM Appoints New Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer
