Nimbuzz launch free aggregated IM client for BlackBerry

Nimbuzz BlackBerry Buddy List

Nimbuzz for BlackBerry is now available from BlackBerry App World as well as the Nimbuzz site. The app features a ton of IM clients such as AIM, Google Talk, MSN, Skype as well as Facebook. Speaking of Skype, weren’t they supposed to launch a BlackBerry client 6 months ago? Even though you can’t use the VoIP calling feature of Skype with Nimbuzz, I still wanted to try it out. When I logged in with my Bold 9700, I got an error message saying the Skype service wasn’t working and they’re “looking into it.”

Nimbuzz is free to download and supports BlackBerrys running OS v4.6 or higher. Just go to Nimbuzz.com from your BlackBerry or hit up App World.

BlackBerry Instant Messenger clients updated to 2.5

RIM is on an updating roll bringing all the IM clients to 2.5 with some new features. Apart from being OS 5.0-compatible, the new clients feature deeper integration with BlackBerry address book contacts, conversation search function, and better emoticon selection.

There is also a new feature that allows you to save a favorite contact as a home screen icon for even faster navigation.

Free IM client for BlackBerry connects Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk and AIM

friendplay im client

Friendplay.com has launched a free instant messaging application for BlackBerry and Java enabled phones with Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk and AIM messaging connectivity.

Download your free copy by going to im.friendplay.com on your BlackBerry browser.

Instead of one-to-one chat sessions, users can create multiple chat rooms and add their friends into a frequently chatted friend list. Other than free chat, the application is able to backup your contact list so that you can retrieve your friend list which stores the phone numbers in case they have lost their mobile phones.
