Big news today for the Republic of Seychelles, as RIM and Airtel have jointly announced the arrival of BlackBerry service for the archipelago nation (yes, I looked it up). Airtel will launch BlackBerry service in Seychelles initially with the BlackBerry Curve 8320.
Mark Guibert, Vice President of Corporate Marketing at RIM added, “It is with great pleasure that RIM is working with Airtel to introduce the BlackBerry solution in Seychelles. Millions of people around the world have chosen a BlackBerry smartphone to stay connected to colleagues, friends and family while they are on the move.”
Airtel will be offering both BES and BIS services for corporate customers and individual users, respectively. For more information, head to http://www.airtel.sc/.

Some new BlackBerry Curve release are coming to Canadian carriers Rogers and Telus. Kevin at CrackBerry is telling us that the Wi-Fi enabled, Sapphire Blue BlackBerry 8320 should make an appearance on Rogers in September, a full month ahead of the AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8320, priced at $150 on a three-year contract. You can also check out the new Rogers BlackBerry rate card after the jump.
In addition, Telus has just released the CDMA BlackBerry 8330 (with GPS, but no Wi-FI) in a lovely red color, to go along with their gray and pink variants. The BlackBerry 8330 is also being sold at $150 on a three-year contract. You can see more plan and pricing information on Telus’ BlackBerry 8330 product page.

Oh no! We’ve been having our fun here at BlackBerry Cool pointing out AT&T’s BlackBerry Bold launch problems while playing with our Rogers Bold, but you’re heart has to go out to AT&T subscribers. The Boy Genius has published an AT&T product sheet dated September 17th that puts the ETA for the BlackBerry Bold release sometime in November. Despite this, BG remains confident in his October 2nd launch date, but I have to wonder why he’s as hopeful as Jim Balsillie about the earlier launch time.
There is some positive BlackBerry news for AT&T subscribers, however. The Sapphire Blue BlackBerry 8320 is set to arrive October 21st, with an Oyster Pink BlackBerry Pearl coming October 2nd. A Burnt Orange BlackBerry Curve model has been pushed to 2009, sadly.
Question of the day, folks: are you now more interested in the BlackBerry Storm, which has a similar launch timeline, or are you still Bold people? Post a comment and let us know.

We’re still crossing our fingers for a September 12th. BlackBerry Bold launch on AT&T, but if you aren’t holding your breath for it, the Wi-Fi BlackBerry Curve (8320) is aiming for a late September launch, which will finally complete AT&T’s Wi-Fi BlackBerry lineup. Included will be OS 4.5 (also due to hit BlackBerry 8120, BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry 8310, and BlackBerry 8300), along with all of the associated goodies like e-mail search, free/busy lookup, Documents to Go… Of course, Wi-Fi in and of itself will offer access to AT&T’s some 17,000 hotspots across the U.S., which ain’t nothing to sneeze at, and it’ll be supporting AT&T’s Push-to-Talk service. While no pricing was mentioned, you can expect this one in the $100-range (like the 8310) and coming in a dashing new sapphire blue paint job.

MTN has launched the BlackBerry 8320 and BlackBerry 8120 to South African customers, expanding on their existing GPS versions of the Curve and the Pearl. It’s been awhile since we had heard from MTN, but it’s good to see the African market is still getting some of the newer devices, but will they be getting the BlackBerry Bold any time soon? RIM’s COO Don Morrison has high hopes for their progress into Africa, and a BlackBerry 9000 launch there could go a long ways. Find more info on the MTN BlackBerry 8320 here (available in gold and black) and the BlackBerry 8120 here (available in titanium and black).

The latest Q3 documents from Rogers are showing the Wi-Fi BlackBerry Curve right next to the BlackBerry Bold and the BlackBerry Kickstart Pearl 8220 for upcoming devices. It’s clear that Rogers is making a big push for their newly rebranded UMA service, TalkSpot, what with all of the Wi-Fi BlackBerrys coming down the pipe. They’ve had the BlackBerry 8820 and BlackBerry 8120 out since earlier this summer, all touting voice-over-Wi-Fi, but it looks like the BlackBerry Bold won’t be supporting it for some reason. Too bad, because unlimited long-distance calls in Canada when connected to any Wi-Fi network is pretty sweet. For those plenty satisfied with the BlackBerry Curve, you can expect to pick it up around the end of September for something in the neighbourhood of $199.99 on a three-year plan, and TalkSpot will cost you another $15 to $20/month on top of your regular e-mail, voice and data plans.

The shiny red BlackBerry Curve rumored last week came to T-Mobile over the weekend, now available for $149.99 on a two-year plan. The BlackBerry 8320 packs all the usual goodies you can expect from the Wi-Fi Curve, namely Hotspot@Home access, which lets you make calls willy-nilly over your home wireless network, as well as MyFaves, for quick and unlimited contact with your favourite contacts. While the pink paint jobs might win over the female segment, I see a colour like this appealing to the dudes just as easily. Hotrod red is a pretty slick colour, and if I was looking to pick up a Curve, this might even win over the grim titanium. Scope out the T-Mobile online shop for more details.

Pink BlackBerrys have been increasingly popular these days, but we haven’t seen much of the elusive Sunset colour. Well, here’s a live shot of the T-Mobile BlackBerry 8320 packing the newest paint job, and it’s pretty dashing. Not quite as somber a sanguine as AT&T’s crimson Curve. If the BlackBerry Bold is a bit too rich for your blood, keep your eye out for this beauty on August 4th.
