Wow, Vodafone is on a roll this week. First, the BlackBerry Storm in the UK, the BlackBerry Bold in Malta and now a bevvy of BlackBerrys in the Channel Islands. Airtel-Vodafone and RIM jointly announced the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8310 and BlackBerry Pearl 8110, both of which include GPS.

“We are thrilled to be bringing this product to customers in the Channel Islands,” says Iain Williams, CEO of Airtel-Vodafone. “The BlackBerry smartphone is no longer just a business must-have but it is increasingly becoming a lifestyle device as well. The more digital the world becomes the more people live their lives online. BlackBerry smartphones accommodate the modern way of life and, in combination with the additional services of the Vodafone network, we are confident that the BlackBerry solution will be well received by customers in the Channel Islands.”

In an announcement similar to the one made by ACS in Alaska (just for the other side of the world), Emitac Mobile Solutions and Warid Telecom announced the launch of a trio of Blackberrys for all Zem prepaid users in Pakistan. Zem users now have access to the BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and BlackBerry Curve 8310.

Chief Executive Officer of Warid Telecom, Marwan Zawaydeh, said, “Warid Telecom has one of the largest GPRS/EDGE networks in Pakistan and is focused on providing the latest innovations to our valued users. Since prepaid connections are the priority for the majority of users in Pakistan, we are introducing the BlackBerry solution with prepaid options for them. It helps bridge the digital divide for the majority of people in the Pakistani market. Our loyal Zem prepaid users will be the first in Pakistan to enjoy the benefits of BlackBerry smartphones.”
