HedoneDesign have prepared a new theme designed for OS 5, called GreenTech, which was made using the latest BlackBerry Theme Studio 5.0. GreenTech features an easy-on-the-eyes green color, with large time, battery and signal icons.
Because it was developed using the Theme Studio 5.0, this theme is compatible with all the latest devices including Storm2, Storm, Tour Bold 9700, 8900 and 9000. On the other hand, popular but older devices like the 8330 aren’t compatible.
Shell is a really decent theme from Elecite that includes color changing options from within the theme. Your theme can have black, red, white or blue background images. There are four dedicated application buttons in a dock, as well as 9 more customizable hidden icons.
A new free theme called ‘SodaBerry’ is a Today Plus theme with a bottom dock. The theme looks really clean and it’s incredibly easy on the eyes.
Sadly, the theme is only available for the BlackBerry Bold. We’ll be sure to keep you informed if this becomes available for more devices.
The theme was developed by RedZapper, with the icons designed by Alistair Roberts. RedZapper have recently updated the theme with the following:
- Shadow around icons in application screen removed (see new screenshot below)
- Emails go into one inbox, SMS/MMS goes into another inbox. You may want to keep both the email and SMS/MMS icons on the home screen.
- Modded more icons. Default icon background added for non-modded icons.
This Facebook theme is for the social networking and web 2.0 fans out there. Facebook is an awesome app for BlackBerry, mainly because it’s developed by RIM. Being developed by RIM, the app can use API’s that aren’t available to third party app developers. I’m expecting big things from future Facebook versions. This theme is a tribute to the great social network and useful BlackBerry app.
Currently, the theme is only available for the BlackBerry Curve sporting OS 4.5. Other versions are coming soon.
Bplay is offering a sweet sale starting now and ending at 11:59 p.m. ET Sunday, June 28. During this sale, you can purchase any Bplay game or theme for just 99 cents.
There have been a few simple themes from Elecite recently, in particular Noble and Urban. This time, Elecite have gone and made an Alienware theme called Ulterior.
Ulterior is crafted with glowing “ribs” just like the real deal, which are actually fully functional and represent the power of your Battery and Signal meters. There are 2 buttons next to the time control the hatch. You can use the right button to open the hatch and reveal a handful of customizable icons. Closing it gives you quick access to your Messages, Media, and Calendar (and no those cannot be changed).
This free theme looks great! This theme is a new, creative approach to making themes because the icons were made on paper versus a desktop application.
Were you a doodler? Then your notebook in school probably looked a lot like this theme. Enjoy the nostalgia!
Guitar Hero was a big hit for mobile and BlackBerry in particular. It’s a franchise that everybody recognized and loved and it ported well to a small keyboard.
Bplay has just launched the Guitar Hero World Tour theme and it looks pretty cool. Your icons are much like the notes you have to hit in-game. The theme also features classic Guitar Hero backgrounds. I hope they get a theme out for the new Beattles Rock Band.
The latest them from elecite is called Noble, and it’s reminiscent of the simple, unique look that Urban has.
This theme features 3D icons and a clean user interface. There are 3 icons at the top including media, clock and mail/messages. At the bottom, you have the calendar and 2 icons that toggle a dock with 9 customizable icons (8 for Bold and 8900). Noble is also wallpaper friendly.
