New Digital Chocolate Games Crazy Penguin Assault and Sky Diving Challenge Available

Comments

Crazy Penguin Assault

There are two new Digital Chocolate games in the Bplay/BlackBerryCool store and they both look like really fun casual games. Crazy Penguin Assault is reminiscent of Angry Birds in the sense that you launch a penguin from a catapult and watch the damage it does. The game has a ton of features including the ability to play over 50 levels in Campaign Mode or blast away in 20 explosive new Frenzy Mode levels. There is definitely a lot of value for $2.99.

The other game is Sky Diving Challenge: another fun casual game. In Sky Diving Challenge, your goal is to collect as many points and power-ups as you plummet towards the ground. Obviously you have to open your parachute before you hit the ground. SDC also gives you a lot of value for your dollar and features 40 levels in Career Mode.

Don’t forget that Bplay is also currently running a 40% off promotion until July 4th. Enjoy! Follow the promo link http://bpl.me/jotyvs and look for these two new games.

Trivial Pursuit Ultimate Master Edition With Multiplayer Available Everywhere

Comments

There’s a new Trivial Pursuit game in App World by Electronic Arts but the submission process is a little strange. The game looks to be divided between three submissions and it’s not available in the Americas or Japan. The good thing is that the game is available to everyone, regardless of region, via the BlackBerryCool/Bplay store. The game is packed with 1000 questions. It also features Pass ‘N Play with friends so you can play multiplayer. You can also customize the length of gameplay in Classic Mode, or race through fast-paced levels and finish first in Pursuit Mode.

Check out Trivial Pursuit in Bplay.

Pachacuti’s Gold: Possibly the First BlackBerry Theme with a Fully-Integrated Game

Comment

pachacuti gold

The problem with saying “the first theme to…” is that there are so many themes out there and it’s hard to keep track of them all. We’re going to start the conversation with saying this is “possibly the first…” because we haven’t come across anything like this at BlackBerryCool. Pachacuti’s Gold is a BlackBerry theme with a fully integrated game.

The theme includes a hidden object game and you go through the various levels unlocking a new wallpaper with each level successfully completed. There are four levels and your goal is to find for yourself to find the long lost Inca gold of Pachacuti. Decipher the captain’s notes to find the items you need to progress through 4 treacherous levels. Overall, this theme is incredibly innovative and brings the customization of themes together with the fun of casual gaming.

UPDATE: It looks like Pachacuti’s Gold was taken off Bplay a couple days ago. It’s still a very innovative theme and hopefully they bring it back.

The major downside to this theme is that it’s only available for Storm series devices. Grab your copy at this link for $1.99.

Cocky Culture Releases First Casual Game Devilish

Comments

Cocky Culture, best known for its themes, has moved into the realm of BlackBerry gaming with their first title. Devilish is a vertically scrolling jumper game that has you guiding the character Dante from from platform to platform picking up power ups and avoiding a variety of enemies such as flying demons, flaming arrows, and the sticky pools of the river styx among others. This style of casual game has always worked well on a BlackBerry as it doesn’t demand intense controls on the user’s part, and combined with solid visuals, this game should be a hit.

Check out Devilish in the store at this link. The game is available for a very reasonable $1.99.
