Some fresh BlackBerry Bold accessories

BlackBerry Bold charging podThere are a few more accessories coming in for the BlackBerry 9000, covering the usual bases of skins, holsters and cases, but also some new stuff, like coloured battery door covers in blue, burgundy, brown and black, and stereo headphones. We might have seen the headphones before, but that charging pod looks pretty solid, and fits in with the latest styles of RIM’s official product line.

Innov8 releases BerryBUDDY Curve

The BerryBuddy CurveThe folks at Innov8 let us know that they’ve released a BerryBUDDY charge stand for the BlackBerry Curve. It’s available for $26.95, although sadly our wish for a more Curve-oriented color scheme wasn’t granted. If you’re on the fence about picking up one of these bad boys you can check out our review of the BerryBUDDY Pearl, which should remain relevant for the Curve as well.

Wireless charger coming this quarter

WildChargerRemember WildCharge, the guys who were working on the wireless charging platform? Well, they’ve announced the launch of their product at CES, and it should be on shelves this quarter. The iPhone, iPod touch, BlackBerry 8800 and BlackBerry 8100 should all work just dandy with it, and considering I got an iPod touch for Christmas and use a Pearl, it sounds like a sure bet for me. I’ve never been especially happy that I’ve got to boot up my computer to charge the iPod, which the WildCharger will fix nicely. One thing we missed was that you need to attach an adapter to your device in order for the WildCharger to work, so you’ll have to be okay with a bit of extra bulk and be willing to pay another $34.99 on top of the $59.99 for the pad itself.

Curve BerryBUDDY on the way

CurveBuddyWe just got some fresh concepts shots of the upcoming BerryBUDDY charging/syncing cradle for the Curve, and it certainly looks pretty slick. A light gray charger with chrome highlights might match the Curve’s style a bit better, but we ain’t complaining. Besides, it’ll still be awhile before this hits shelves, so changes are entirely possible. We took a look at the Pearl BerryBUDDY which had a sweet design, so hopefully innov8 can bring the same quality to the Curve.

Review: BerryBUDDY

BBuddy 1We spotted the BerryBUDDY a few months ago, and were impressed by the charger’s visuals alone. To be fair, that’s about all a charger has to run on, since getting your handheld juiced up and connected to your desktop is a pretty straightforward affair. The BerryBUDDY’s debut for the BlackBerry Pearl and its cousins is a bold one, being one of the few chargers packing serious class. Let’s take a quick look at the BerryBUDDY and see how he performs.
