Cortado is offering Basic Print, the link between your BlackBerry and Bluetooth enabled photo printers. In addition to printing photos and images, installing Cortado Basic Print on a smartphone also gives users the option to print e-mails, contacts, notes, tasks and calendar entries. The application supports almost all Bluetooth-capable photo printers (e.g. Canon, HP and Polaroid) as well as simple text printers (if only text printing is required).
Cortado Basic Print is compliant with all BlackBerrys that have v4.1 or higher. The software is available now for $39.98.

Cortado has recently released SMS2Desk, a free app that will take your SMS messages and get them to you in email form. The service goes both ways too, allowing you to send from email to SMS. This is especially handy for all your friends who insist the RAZR is a perfectly good phone and don’t know what the fuss is over this new thing called the “BlueBerry.”
Go here to check out the free version.
You can also pick up a premium version for 4.98 EUR.
If you’ve tried the app, please comment and let me know what you think. Does it help you stay connected?

First up, sorry for the lateness. The aforementioned server issues slowed production, but no worries- we still recorded and have a heaping two weeks’ worth of news for you this episode. The BlackBerry Thunder and iPhone 3G were both huge news items last week. There are lots of numbers on the ‘net to refute the iPhone’s hype, while the BlackBerry faithful are sticking to their guns and holding out for the BlackBerry Bold. Some more pictures of the BlackBerry Thunder have also floated up, showing off the on-screen keypad and media player, as well as a massive false start by Expansys. This week a lot of stuff was ramping up to a BlackBerry Bold launch, primarily in the form of OS 4.6 software.

We’ve tallied all the votes, and we’re now ready to announce the winners of BlackBerry Cool’s First Annual Best of WES: People’s Choice Contest. Reader participation is a huge deal here at BBCool HQ, so we were touched to see so many people voting for their favorite BlackBerry products and services. One of the most startling aspects of the contest was seeing just how close the voting was in many of the categories — you guys really like a lot of different things! To that end, we’re going to post the top three favorites in every category.
Thanks to everyone who voted!

Cortado (a division of ThinPrint) announced this week at WES the availability of their new corporate server. Along with “seamless integration into company IT environments”, Cortado is stressing their multi-use Present-to-Screen, which allows files of any format to be sent from a Blackberry to a notebook or PC screen. No special software is required, and users don’t have to convert their files to a different format.
The new version is available for download at www.cortado.com/ccs-blackberry. View the full press release after the jump.
