Foursquare let us know that they’ve updated the BlackBerry app to include support for AmEX specials. The AmEX specials include deals such as “spend at least $5 at a local merchant in Austin, and get a $5 savings applied directly to your monthly statement.” To set up your Foursquare account for AmEX specials, do the following:
link your AmEx and foursquare accounts (you can do it here);

Two exciting items of excitement to report from Bplay HQ this week. First off, they’ve got one of Magmic’s newest themes called Space: 1999. I’ve been running it on my 9700 for the last week and a half, and I absolutely love it. I’ve also tested this them on other devices including the Torch 9800, and it runs beautifully. It takes space inspired animations and comic book style art to the next level. It goes completely against your standard Zen and Today style themes, and adds an element of artsiness that seems to have become rare in the world of BlackBerry themes. We’re not all suit-dummies, you know. Fans of the past ‘Propaganda‘ theme from Magmic will definitely love this theme.
Secondly (but not less importantly), Bplay sent out an email to all of its subscribers letting them know that Glu Mobile, makers of Call of Duty: Black Ops Mobile and Family Feud Mobile, has slashed their prices on a number of their top selling titles. Some of those games include the aforementioned ones, Blur Racing, World Series Poker, and many more. This sale will last throughout the month on June.
Today and Tuesday we’re running a promotion for the top selling BlackBerry apps by category. There are over 25 apps to choose from and they’re all on sale. Some of the Cyber Monday and Tuesday deals include: Tether, SmrtGuard, SmartWiFi, GPS Guru, Xobni, PocketDay Pro, Pinball Deluxe, and more.
Bplay has started their Black Friday sale early with 40% off all games, themes and apps with the coupon code BLACK (use it before you check out). I’m sure many of you in the US are enjoying Thanksgiving dinner right about now and can’t be bothered shopping, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t get our shop on. Happy Deals and Meals!
Head over to Bplay.com and use the coupon code “BLACK”.
Clip is a pretty cool service that aims to take the coupon service to your BlackBerry. Clip Mobile is a free app that uses the GPS in your BlackBerry to search, save and redeem deals from local businesses and national retailers. Since this is a location based service, deals will vary tremendously based on your location and it looks like this app is best for those living in Toronto. This particular BlackBerry announcement is not available to those in the States. Given some time, this service will likely roll out across North America.
So while Americans are celebrating Thanksgiving, Canadians can go ahead and download Clip Mobile from App World.
Shooger is an app for deal-finders as it includes 100K coupons, discounts, deals, specials, special offers, incentives and all other forms of savings with 50K merchants. These include both local and online coupons with the ability to “clip” coupons and follow preferred merchants. The app allows you to search by category, location or specific merchant.
