Vivino Wine Tasting App with Bottle Image Recognition

YouTube link

Vivino is a cool app from a couple of wine entrepreneurs in Denmark who have created an app with a database of over half a million bottles and 12,000 wineries throughout the world. The app has a unique spin on a wine app by offering image recognition of wine bottles. From the above video, we see some of the features include:

  • Identify and remember wines with image recognition.
  • Database of 500K wines.
  • Read more about the wine including description, where to buy, etc.
  • Like, dislike and review the wine.
  • Share the wine with friends.

Another cool feature of Vivino is that it’s available cross-platform on iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7. To download for BlackBerry, head over to vivino.com/blackberry.

BlackBerry Bold launches in Denmark

BlackBerry Bold

Our Danish friends are getting a nice little present from RIM and 3 just in time for Christmas, with the announcement of the BlackBerry Bold. By now, 5 months after its initial launch, most of you know why the Bold is such a great stocking stuffer: 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, all rolled into one slim, sexy package with a HVGA screen.

3Business is offering the BlackBerry Bold for DKK 319.20 on an 18 month contract or for DKK 1,999 straight up. You can find out more information at their website below, but make sure to check out our exhaustive BlackBerry Bold review first. Merry Christmas, Danes!
