mobilEncrypt’s Endpoint software is an enterprise encryption solution for mobile users and works directly on the mobile device. Employees can send and receive encrypted messages using their company email address that can be easily centrally managed as well as the ability to revoke credentials if a device gets compromised.

The demo given at RIM’s BlackBerry Innovation Forum was an amazing opportunity to check out what’s in store for the PlayBook OS 2. RIM showed off the native PIM features such as email, calendar and contacts. The demo was smooth and the PIM features were all imbued with some Gist magic. RIM is hosting a BlackBerry for Business and Government webcast, and who knows, maybe they’ll show it off again.

Police cruisers in Canada may soon be outfitted with BlackBerry PlayBooks. That’s why Mobile Innovations, a Niagara Falls based company dedicated to enhancing law enforcement through mobile technology, has been touring the north-east showcasing their PlayBook equipped Dodge Charger demo vehicle. Gary Bauer, CEO of Mobile Innovations, has been personally driving the demo vehicle from agency to agency and he says that the interest is huge everywhere he shows up. Gary jokes that when he pulls in cops put down their doughnuts and pickup the PlayBooks.

RIM has announced their plan to offer BlackBerry Business Cloud Services for Microsoft Office 365. This new RIM-hosted online service is geared toward midsized businesses and the enterprise market. The service allows organizations to manage their own BlackBerry deployments in the cloud.

We’re here at BlackBerry DevCon and Mike Lazaridis as well as Alec Saunders are on stage to talk about some cool things we can expect from App World, as well as the general developer community, in the coming months. Some things to expect include a better developer portal, enterprise apps, and more outreach from RIM to the developer community. There’s a lot going on and while we’re not sure exactly when this stuff is available, it’s great to see it’s coming. More after the break.
