Today at BlackBerry World, Fixmo announced a partnership with Veracode to integrate their cloud-based application platform into Fixmo’s Sentinel monitoring software.

Sentinel remotely tracks your organization’s mobile devices to make sure they’re remaining in a known and trusted state. Veracode‚Äôs cloud-based application platform combined with Fixmo Sentinel software will work to provide enterprise-level device integrity assurance. Fixmo Launches Fixmo Extend Tethering Solution in Free Beta

Fixmo has launched a tethering product called Fixmo Extend that is currently in free beta. Just like other tethering solutions, all you have to do is download the app on your device and the executable on your PC and you’re good to go. Features of Fixmo Extend include:

Fixmo Tools Goes Version 2.0 with More Utilities Packed in 1 App



Fixmo Tools is a powerful all-in-one utility app that packs a bunch of small features into a single app. Currently, there are a few of these apps on the market and they’re all racing to pack the most features into their app. The app now includes media backup features from the developers at Chocolate Chunk apps, as well as a screenshot and some reminder features. Fixmo Tools Updated with Meeting Scheduler, Speedtest and More


Fixmo Tools is a single app that is comprised of many smaller utility apps. Described as a utility belt for your smartphone, Fixmo Tools has a wide range of utilities to help your smartphone be even smarter.

Previously, the app featured the ability to:

  • Undelete emails, PIN messages, calendar events, tasks and memos.
  • Warn you of potentially embarassing email mistakes such as Reply All when you didn’t mean to.
  • Go into silent mode during scheduled events.
  • Check memory and battery status.
  • Forward emails with the ability to edit.

In version 1.1, you now have the ability to:

  • Easily arrange a meeting by automatically selecting available times on your calendar and inserting them into an email.
  • Measure the download and upload speeds of your network.
  • Set a different LED color for phone calls so you can easily distinguish them from other message alerts.
  • Enable radio support when your battery level is very low.

Fixmo Tools is available for $9.99 until May 6th, after which it goes up to $19.99.

Rick Segal Co-Founder of Fixmo Talks BlackBerry Startups



Rick Segal is one of the co-founders of Fixmo Tools, an app company that packages a bunch of utilities to help improve your BlackBerry. The apps do a variety of things such as change your profiles based on your Calendar events, edit your emails before they’re sent, manage your memory, track your battery power and more.

According to Segal, “Canada is the best place on the planet to start a business,” as government programs available to entrepreneurs in Canada are amazing, and give a competitive advantage. One such program is scientific research and development credits, which can go along way to cutting costs on developing new technologies. I’m not sure if Fixmo Tools qualifies for these credits, but with the right guy behind the proposal, you could probably fit anything into that program.
