The Goal.com Mobile app is updated for the World Cup 2010 which is set to kickoff June 11th with South Africa vs Mexico and Uruguay vs France. Goal.com Mobile, the World Cup 2010 edition, includes special features such as Top new with corresponding photos, live scores with play-by-play details, player ratings, teams with schedule and lineup details, fixtures and results by day, group stage with team standings, as well as Knockout Stage with the final tournament schedule.

NFL Mobile for BlackBerry launches on Verizon Wireless

Even though it feels like the SuperBowl just came to a close, it’s not too early to start getting excited about the upcoming season. With the NFL draft right around the corner, Verizon Wireless has released its NFL mobile app to bring you the latest in football news.

In addition to NFL RedZone, live Sunday Night and Thursday Night games, and NFL Network, other features of NFL Mobile on Verizon Wireless will include:

  • Video: Game highlights and an extensive collection of on-demand video featuring analysis and inside access from NFL Network and NFL Films.
  • Audio: Live radio broadcasts of every regular season and playoff game from both home and away teams.
  • Fantasy: Access to fantasy information, news, and player and team statistics.
  • Customizable NFL alerts, ringtones and graphics.

The major thing the CFL is lacking is a tailgate culture. While it’s not big in Canada, it’s a ton of fun and Americans do it right.

Viigo and the CFL have partnered to create a content module for all your CFL needs. With this new module, you can get live scores, schedules, standings, breaking news and even purchase tickets directly from your BlackBerry.

If you already have Viigo, you’ll notice that the CFL module can be added to the home screen. Just select “Add Service” from the device’s menu and choose CFL.

Viigo introduces soccer updates – UEFA, La Liga, Serie A and MLS

Viigo has upgraded all of their European soccer (or football) coverage including UEFA Cup, UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and have now introduced MLS. The upgrades include improved live scores and complete game scores across the board. They have also added standings and schedules as well as team by team scores and schedules.

The news comes as Major League Soccer has begun its 13th season, and Viigo’s home team, Toronto FC, are in their third year. Viigo is here to help you stay current on what is going on in the league.

Are you ready for some football? I guess that’s the question on Bplay’s mind these days, after releasing officially licensed BlackBerry themes for all 32 NFL teams. Obviously, from the image above you can probably guess that my loyalty lies with ‘Da Bears’, but whatever your team Bplay has a theme for you.

You can find a collage of all 32 NFL themes after the jump. The BlackBerry Bold is not yet supported, but will be in the coming weeks.

I wasn’t going to post this, mostly because watching my beloved Poland get trounced by Germany has turned me off from the Euro 2008 tourney faster than Italy’s keeper lets in goals, but I digress. The BlackBerry Cool Nation stretches far and wide, and I’m sure many of you are footie fans.
