Best Buy Mobile have launched their mIQ wireless sync solution, and it’s a great way to get BES-style contact syncing but for free.
Once you have installed the app, all your contacts, calendar, SMS, and call log information are backed up to the mIQ servers. The service will also back up all your pictures and video. The app includes Facebook integration so you can set your status, which isn’t the most useful feature but welcomed nonetheless. mIQ will also tell you how much memory is free on the SDcard.
Try mIQ Live from Best Buy and wirelessly sync your contacts and media for free.

Tungle is a great service that isn’t necessarily BlackBerry specific, but is of great use to the type of user who would own a BlackBerry.
Tungle is the easiest way to schedule meetings. The service was born out of the redundancy that occurs every time people send back-and-forth emails saying “what time is good for you?”
Until now, Tungle has been focused on one-on-one and small group meetings, which represent 95% of all meetings. Over the last 9 months, Tungle has been working on the best possible way to set up group meetings. You can now add or remove participants, change the times you’ve proposed, as well as the location and any of the meeting details.
The system of booking meetings is very much like booking between individuals. Users select blocks of time that they’re available, and Tungle schedules the meeting based on everyone’s availability.
Sign up for your free Tungle account and give it a try for yourself.
Are there any features you would like to see in the next version of Tungle? Let us know in the comments.

Today Yelp launched their free application for BlackBerry. Yelp is one of the leading websites in providing community reviews of restaurants and information about local businesses. What makes the Yelp community more reliable in terms of reviews, is their system of attaching more weight to experienced reviewers. This makes it very difficult to manipulate.
Try it out and see what Yelp recommends in your neighborhood.
Download Yelp for BlackBerry for free by visiting m.yelp.com from your BlackBerry device.
UPDATE: If you’re having problems finding the download link: it’s at the top of the mobile site where it says “Got a BlackBerry? Get the Yelp app.”

PortaServer lets you connect to your BlackBerry over WiFi, where you can browse and download files. You can view or download pictures, music, videos, documents or web pages directly from your device over a WiFi connection.
The service is secure and provides you with a password to ensure that random visitors aren’t accessing your files. This password will not prevent targeted attacks in public WiFi use, so it’s recommended you use it at your home or office.
When you launch PortaServer, you will get an URL to connect to your BlakcBerry and the password required. When you launch the URL and enter the password on another device, you can access the files.
Currently, the service only works over WiFi.
Features:
* Browse your handset?€™s file system using a web browser
* View or download files from your handset over wifi
* Host static web pages, documents and media on your device
* Can run in background while you use other handset functions
Download PortaServer for free from the BlackBerry Cool store.

3.2 In Windows XP “C:\DocumentsandSettings\(Your User)
4. Start CMD (Windows Key + R and then type CMD)

Often times you have a contact in your Address Book and you aren’t sure whether it’s a good time to call them. With WhatsApp, the question “What’s up” gets answered before you decide, so you know if it’s a good time.
Ideally, this system would be built into the BlackBerry Address Book, but for now we have a free app that works with others who have also downloaded the app. The app only gets better as more people use it, so consider using the “Tell a Friend” feature. It’s free so why not?
Download WhatsApp for free OTA by visiting http://www.whatsapp.com/bb/ from your BlackBerry Browser.
UPDATE: App World is having some issues today, but users can download from GetJar and there shouldn’t be any problem.

BlackBerry App World 1.1 is now available for download! App World 1.1 features the ability to save applications to your SD card when you aren’t using them, so you can free up memory to download and try other apps. It also goes without saying that you don’t have to pay twice for an app.
Another great feature of App World 1.1 is that you can browse based on free or paid apps. This is not only good for the end user, but it’s essential for developers. It’s difficult to get your application noticed when the apps are all lumped together regardless of price.
Download App World 1.1 today by visiting www.blackberry.com/appworld/download from your BlackBerry Browser.
UPDATE: Inside BlackBerry just put up a post about App World 1.1 and they have some great additional info. It just launched in 9 new countries including: Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Portugal.

There are some applications that want to automatically start when you reboot your device because they’re an integral part of your BlackBerry experience.
Start Me Up allows you to select applications that you want to automatically start up but don’t do it on their own. This is a great way to add additional functionality to apps that you enjoy using.
A cool feature of this product is that it allows you to set delay times. If an app requires a network connection, you can adjust the delay time to allow your device to connect to the network before the device is launched.
Features:
* Automatic start up for apps that don’t include this feature
* Runs applications in background while launching
* Small size and does not run in background constantly
