The Jared Company has a pretty large portfolio of BlackBerry apps that help make your smartphone more powerful. The apps are mostly what we call “gap fillers” – apps that fill a feature hole in the BlackBerry OS and give the platform more power. It’s these kinds of apps that we’re really hoping have a big presence in BlackBerry 10, but it’s not clear how that’s coming along. Magmic has been making BlackBerry games for a long time, specifically over 10 years. The company went from creating a black and white title for the early BlackBerry 5810 to launching an innovative poker game that uses in-app payments for virtual chips (THK Live). To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Magmic has made a really sweet timeline graphic of some of the games they’ve launched on BlackBerry and other platforms over the last decade. PingChat! Rebrands as Touch and Serves Over 100 Million Messages

The guys at Enflick have been really busy making a series of products in the communication space. The company had a very popular app called PingChat! that has since rebranded itself and become Touch. Touch is available for iOS, BlackBerry and Android, and has had some pretty awesome success lately. According to the company, Touch has already served more than 100 million one-on-one messages and nearly 10 million group messages.
