Smarter Apps has recently released a free version of Vampire Hunter, a tower defense game in the style of Plants vs Zombies. The free version of Vampire Hunter gives you two levels to try so you can get a feel for what the game is like. If you like the game, you can always upgrade to the paid version which has 45 levels. Smarter Apps made some pretty big updates in terms of levels to its Angry Farm title, so they may upgrade the 45 levels in Vampire Hunter too. Overall, it’s a good investment.

Kill Time on Your PlayBook With Freemium Keep Up! Game By Szello

One of the first games I ever downloaded on the PlayBook was Keep Up!. It’s a simple game and the developer Szello, was one of the first to market getting a game on the PlayBook. I recently met up with Tareq, the founder of Szello, and it turns out he used to be a RIM employee and is now doing his own company. You should definitely check out Keep Up! and keep an eye on Szello for future product releases.

The app also gives you the ability to assign a user-defined hotkey to an Iconify link to make the launch process even faster.
