RIM has released a few free holiday themes to celebrate the season and even though they’re pretty simplistic, they’re still nice to look at. Considering it’s RIM, it would have been cool to see some themes with a little more creativity and animations, but their is still time and apparently they’ll be releasing more free content throughout the holiday season.
Also, strangely enough, RIM is limiting these free themes to the US and Canada. Why wouldn’t RIM offer this to Latin America and Europe?
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and this theme gives you some fun holiday cheer as well as some cool theme features. The Thanksgiving Parade theme has clickable pumpkins, one of which hides and reveals the farm background or your own personal wallpaper, as well as some customizable icons on top.
It’s that time of year when we sit back and think about the year that has passed. We think about our accomplishments and setbacks, and ponder how we can improve in the year to come. I’m sure RIM executives have their own, but I think a good Top 5 would include:
1. Not let email or BBM go down more than once.
2. Release a WebKit based browser that will make the competition worried.
3. Release a touchscreen and keyboard combo form factor.
4. Improve App World beyond the competition. Stop keeping up with the Johnsons.
5. Bring manufacturing costs down by at least 10%.

RIM is offering free holiday wallpapers all over the place this season. Recently, we told you about how they’re offering free wallpapers over at MyBlackBerry, and now they’re taking them to Facebook. The service lets you choose pics from your Facebook profile and use them as part of your holiday wallpaper. You can also add stickers and borders to your wallpaper and make it as custom as you’d like.
Bplay have launched a series of Disney holiday themes that include Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse. The themes are authentic Disney content and Bplay is the only place you will get the exclusive IP.
Pooh and Friends Winter Wonderland is $5.99 and so is Mickey and Friends Christmas.
