Palringo now available in BlackBerry App World

Palringo’s Webby Award-winning, multi-service, Instant Messaging application is newly available in the BlackBerry App World.

Palringo users exchange voice, picture and text-based messages with contacts on many popular messaging services including Microsoft’s Windows Live/MSN Messenger, Facebook, AOL Instant Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, Apple’s iChat, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ, Jabber and QQ. This means that Blackberry users can chat, and share photo and voice messages, with all of their friends on many different IM and social networking services using just one application instead of switching between multiple, single-service applications.

Palringo Gold edition supports Facebook, iChat and QQ

Palringo instant messaging application is now available in a gold edition for BlackBerry. The application has walkie-talkie style voice (vocal instant messaging), real-time text chat and the ability to share pictures and location. The gold edition now includes support for Facebook, iChat and QQ.

BlackBerry Instant Messaging Clients (Head-to-Head Review)

BlackBerry Instant Messenger Clients Review

After encountering a half-zillion different IM clients the other week, we thought it might be prudent to throw them all in the ring together and see how they compare. It’s a beefy list, indeed… in terms of stand-alone clients, we have BlackBerry Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and Google Talk. Among the multi-platform apps, we have Palringo, IM+, Mundu, Instango, JiveTalk, and WebMessenger.

AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ and Microsoft Live Messenger are also options if you’re packing a supported device.

The full monster-god of BlackBerry instant messenger reviews is behind the jump!

BlackBerry version of Palringo goes public

Although the beta didn’t earn Palringo many friends, maybe the public launch will have fixed some of the issues with this promising BlackBerry IM client. Push-to-talk support is nothing to sneeze at, especially alongside picture and video sharing. ICQ, MSN, GTalk, AIM and all the other big names are supported, so if IMing is your bag, you can download Palringo here for your Pearl, Curve or 8800-series BlackBerry.

New BlackBerry IM service offers voice and picture sharing

PalringoJiveTalk currently rocks the multi-platform instant messaging on BlackBerry these days, but I just got wind of Palringo, which not only covers ICQ, AIM, Live Messenger, GTalk, Yahoo!, and a bunch of other popular IM services, but also lets you share voice notes and pictures easily. There’s also a community element to it, where you can join chat groups for mass communication. It’s a free OTA download, though still in beta, and there’s enterprise rollouts available if you’re in the market. Give it a shot, and let us know how it stacks up against your other mobile IM experiences.
