The BlackBerry Developer Conference has been nailed down to October 21st. to 22nd. in Santa Clara California, and they’re calling out for papers. (I’m looking at you, Neil.) Devs have until August 22 to submit their papers, and get the added bonus of a free conference pass for speaking in one of the sessions. That’s nothing to sneeze at, considering the Early Bird rate is $799… The session tracks for the Developer Conference have also been nailed down: Managing the Application Development and Deployment Lifecycle, The Ins and Outs of Java Development for the BlackBerry Solution, Next Generation Mobile Web Applications and Content Services, and Mobile Applications for the Enterprise.
Folks generally poo-pooed the sessions at WES, either for being overly technical, or too basic, but I have a feeling that the sessions at the BlackBerry Developer Conference will be balanced just right to the types of folks attending. Although not announced yet, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of those new certification programs making an appearance there. Here’s more info on paper guidelines, and if you’re good to go, you can register for the the BlackBerry Developer Conference here.
