Singtel launching BlackBerry Bold soon

Singtel BlackBerry Bold

The BlackBerry 9000 is popping up all over the place, and Singapore is no exception. The Singtel BlackBerry Bold launch party is taking place on August 27th., next Wednesday. Hong Kong kicked things off pretty early, and it’s to be expected that the Bold will be reaching out all around the region. As for a release date, it’s anyone’s guess, but it’s safe to assume it will be available in the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye on Singtel’s online store for more info.

BlackBerry 8120 hits Singapore

SingaporeRIM has announced the Wi-Fi Pearl’s landing in Singapore, with all the usual goodies it comes with, available this December. No word on price or carrier yet, but Singapore’s not a big place, so we’re going to guess Singtel will be carrying it, and if it’s anything like the 8820 release, M1 and Starhub could be on board too.

BlackBerry 8820 landing in Singapore

SingaporeWord has it that the Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry 8820 is landing in Singapore thanks to M1, Singtel and Starhub. The keypad is decribed as “highly tactile”, which seems bizarrely necessary now that other nontactile keypads are emerging. We’re all pretty familiar with the 8820 by now (pretty much the BlackBerry 8800 plus Wi-Fi), so no need to dive into stats. No word on pricing yet.

Singapore to get BlackBerry 8300

SingaporeCNet is reporting that the BlackBerry 8300 will be carried by Singtel and StarHub sometime soon, although their online catalogs aren’t showing it yet. Chalk up one more for RIM in the orient. You know, every time the Curve comes out in another country, it really hammers home Balsillie’s statement that the iPhone is just one carrier in one country. No doubt that will be changing in time, but RIM has one hell of a head start in the international game.
