Slacker Radio, purveyor of internet jams, is now playing nice with Ford SYNC. As of this writing, you can download version 4.1.22 via BlackBerry App World to update your device. Slacker.com should be updated soon to allow for the download there as well. Once you’ve updated, bugs from prior versions will have been squashed and you’ll be able to blast music via Slacker on your BlackBerry and control it via In-Car Command and Control by Voice Using SYNC AppLink. Slacker announced today that they’re expanding the free unlimited Basic Radio service to all Canadian users. Initially, the basic radio service was offered with a 30 day trial, but not it’s free indefinitely. Slacker is also available as a premium service, called Slacker Radio Plus. With the premium service, users get station caching, ad-free listening, complete song lyrics, unlimited song skipping, song requests and more.

Tomorrow, Slacker and The Source will announce a free hip hop station programmed by Source DJs and powered by Slacker. The Source Digital Radio consists of songs from the past two decades of hip hop and features artists such as Run DMC, Lil Wayne, Jay Z and some new artists yet to be discovered.
