The Jared Company has been developing apps for BlackBerry for some time now and the company has at least a few apps that have huge download numbers. The company seems to be dipping into its email list to check whether its users will be upgrading to BlackBerry 10, most likely to gauge how much the company should invest in BlackBerry 10. The Jared Company has a pretty large portfolio of BlackBerry apps that help make your smartphone more powerful. The apps are mostly what we call “gap fillers” – apps that fill a feature hole in the BlackBerry OS and give the platform more power. It’s these kinds of apps that we’re really hoping have a big presence in BlackBerry 10, but it’s not clear how that’s coming along. Regardless, the BlackBerry OS 7 and below platform is here to stay for a long time and The Jared Company has plenty of free apps for you. One of those apps is Message Prevue which lets you see a preview of incoming messages (normally $2.99).

The Jared Company has been doing an awesome job with their BlackBerry apps. The company fills many gaps in the platform, making our smarpthones even smarter and the company has recently launched a couple apps around social and pics. The first is called ChatPics and it lets you send real-time pictures and chat simultaneously with anyone that has the app running. The second is called Profile Pic Toolkit for BBM and it lets you send suggested profile pics to your friends.

Screen Grabber is a free screencapture app for your BlackBerry that now features the ability to send your BBM contacts your screenshots. Another major benefit to Screen Grabber is that it doesn’t leave a watermark on your screenshots. While there are plenty of screenshot apps on the market, Screen Grabber now offers a quick way to share within the app and so it may be time to switch for some. Sharing screenshots is good for gaming, reporting bugs, sharing conversations and more.

We’re always curious which developers are submitting a portfolio of apps to App World. In this case, we’re more concerned with apps such as a game, utility or IM client, and much less so an eBook, audio book or theme. It’s a difficult process to compile a list of popular developers because there isn’t a good way of sorting through the data to find who has submitted a large portfolio of apps. In order to do this, we’re simply starting with the developers we’re familiar with through BlackBerryCool, and doing a little searching on the side. This article will get better as more people comment their findings too, so feel free to comment the developer’s vendor page with the number of apps they’ve submitted and we’ll add them to the list. Click through to read about some interesting developers.
