Judging from most of your comments, BlackBerry Nation, you’re still having a difficult time picking up a BlackBerry Storm. Consider it a blessing in disguise. Many of you likely still need some training before delving into the touchscreen BlackBerry experience; the video above will show you everything you need to know. No pain, no gain!

How to: train for the BlackBerry Storm
Any BlackBerry Curve user knows that screen scratching can be a huge issue. Put that BlackBerry in your pocket with your keys too many times and you just bought yourself an expensive paperweight. Thankfully, the video above shows that this won’t be an issue with the BlackBerry Storm. A tip of our hat to the brave soul who thought that attacking his Storm with a hunting knife was a good idea.

It was to be assumed that RIM’s first touchscreen BlackBerry would cause some controversy, but I doubt anyone assumed it would be this much. The divergence in opinion over the BlackBerry Storm, with some considering it a worthwhile competitor to the iPhone, and others considering worthwhile only as a doorstop, seems to be getting only stronger.
Recently, two of the most authoritative technology columnists of the mainstream media (read: tech bloggers for old people), Gary Krakow and David Pogue, have come to odds over the BlackBerry Storm. Krakow, in the video above, calls the Storm ‘the best BlackBerry ever made.’ Pogue, however, places the Storm firmly in the ‘dud’ bin, and goes on to state:
I haven’t found a soul who tried this machine who wasn’t appalled, baffled or both.
This probably goes without saying, but I don’t think the BlackBerry Storm is for everybody. We’ll see if the rumored Verizon/Vodafone OS update this week will do anything to quell the unrest.
I know what you’re thinking: another Storm video? I get it, by now you’ve probably made up your mind as to whether or not you’re a BlackBerry Storm fan. However, to borrow a line from recent elections, there are likely still many ’swing voters’ on the fence about this touchscreen business. The video above is one of the best we’ve seen in demonstrating the basic functionality of the Storm’s OS, if you can ignore the dreaded BlackBerry Buzz. If you can’t decide after watching this video, you might as well leave the choice up to Santa.

You have to hand it to Telus: they sure know how to uniquely brand their BlackBerry offering. For your viewing pleasure, we have two Christmas themed Telus commercials featuring the BlackBerry Storm (”Coming Soon”). Let’s hope Santa puts one underneath the BBCool Christmas tree.
You can find the second Telus BlackBerry commercial after the jump. Post a comment and let us know which one you like the best!
Verizon has released another BlackBerry Storm 9530 commercial, continuing where their first teaser commercial left off. It’s great to see Verizon actually showing footage of the device in action this time, but I wonder about the subject matter of any future commercials? Maybe it fasts forwards to the Storm owners first bill, whereupon he realizes that mobile music downloads can add up quicker than you think? We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.
UPDATE: Umm, make that five new videos. We’ve just added videos from CNN and Stuff.tv after the jump.
It looks like everyone and their dog has gotten their hands on a Vodafone BlackBerry Storm 9500, which launches in the UK on November 14th. Following the 4 minutes of BlackBerry Storm video heaven we posted about yesterday, no less than three other UK mobile sites — KnowYourMobile, MegaWhat and T3 — have posted their own videos. Of the three, MegaWhat’s is probably the most informative, while KnowYourMobile’s demonstrates what purchasing music through Vodafone’s store will look like. We’ve put T3’s first, however, for two reasons: it features a super cute British tech nerd, and she calls the Storm a “stunning piece of kit.” Bloody brilliant. You can see the other two videos after the jump.
If my pithy hands on impressions post from BBDC wasn’t enough to tide you over, and you’ve been staring at our launch date round up counting down the days until it’s your carrier’s turn, you’ll probably enjoy this 4 minute BlackBerry Storm video. Running through a variety of activities (texting, web browsing, GPS navigation, media viewing), it’s probably the clearest demonstration of the BlackBerry Storm experience.

According to BGR, the BlackBerry Storm will be in-stock November 16th at best Buy, but that isn’t necessarily a release date. Also, a ton of BlackBerry Storm videos have hit the Internet. I wasn’t able to embed them but you can check them all out on CrackBerry. The audio on these videos is really strange. For some reason, they decided to only play a fraction of the audio. I guess they were trying to be creative.
Not much to say here, as the BlackBerry Storm hype train continues worldwide. If previous Storm news wasn’t enough to make you want the device, I doubt this video will push you over, but it is cool how they imply that the Storm gives you semi-super powers.
