Evernote is a great app that’s used by millions. The app is a simple note taking service that syncs with the cloud so you have your notes anywhere you go, regardless of platform. Evernote and Xobni, our favorite contact management solution, have partnered on an Evernote gadget in Xobni that allows you to take notes on your Xobni Contacts, browse your notes and associate your notes with a contact – all while syncing with your Evernote account. Features include:
Search for a contact in Xobni to see any notes that you have taken that include that person’s name or email address.
Create a new note for a person or company and it’s automatically associated with the email address and name of the person for whom you are creating the note.
Search Evernote right from your inbox to find and associate any note with a person or company in your Outlook inbox.
To access the Evernote gadget, you’ll need a free or premium Evernote account with Xobni for Outlook 2.0, which is a free download.
Email app Xobni has released a major update. Since their launch this February, their development team has been working hard to add features and fix bugs. Xobni also listens to customer feedback to build the most finely tuned email app out there.
To upgrade to the latest version, simply go to bb.xobni.com from your BlackBerry or the store from which you’ve downloaded or purchased Xobni.
Do you have a lot of contacts on your BlackBerry? Then Xobni is a must-have app for your BlackBerry. The app takes all of your contacts, makes them easy to search and prioritizes your contacts based on who you contact the most. The app works best when you combine it with the desktop version of Xobni for Windows Outlook. This gives you access to 10x the contacts from your BlackBerry and Outlook. Be sure to check out the store link and read more about all the cool contact management features this app has.
Xobni has announced that they’re coming to Gmail, Android and iPhone. The company has opened up Beta and Alpha testing and you can head over to the respective pages and sign up for the Gmail Beta, Android Alpha and iPhone Alpha.
Xobni for Gmail beta comes as a browser plugin for Chrome and Firefox that shows up as a sidebar in Gmail and helps users search and manage their relationships effortlessly. It creates rich profiles for anyone you’ve ever emailed in Gmail, similar to what users have come to expect in the Outlook product. These profiles include name, picture, job title, company, and full social network details. Xobni is also introducing new features such as relationship history, predictive autosuggest that suggests related contacts and a multimedia module to view social insights. Gist hasn’t been around for long, having only launched in 2008 as a free web app that let you manage personal and professional contacts from Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Salesforce.com, among other sources.
We’ve written about Xobni quite a bit lately because they’re reporting great download numbers. The most recent news is that Xobni’s Pro version, is now the Deal-of-the-Day, and its available for $0.99. This is a great deal and if you’ve seen the special price in App World, you know that it’s about 50% cheaper. The fact that we can get Xobni so cheap is one of the benefits of an open app ecosystem, and one of the reasons why it’s great to develop for BlackBerry.
