Merck Launches Medical Wireless Website

A 2004 Manhattan Research survey reported that 43 percent of all physicians say that the Internet is essential to their practice and 40 percent of all physicians currently use PDAs or handheld technology. The survey also reported that an additional 20 percent of physicians intend to use a PDA for practice management in the near future.

To access MerckMedicus using a wireless device, a physician must be a registered user of, an advertising-free, health information web portal specifically designed for physicians and other healthcare providers.
