Ask Us! Missing IPPP For BIBS Service Book

I downloaded software from to sync tasks and memos. I’ve installed it on the Blackberry and set up my account at I’ve run the configuration wizard for the software, but I’m getting a message saying:

“Network error. Unable to contact server.
( Could not find a service book entry for IPPP)”

I looked at my service books. Listed there is “IPPP for BIBS [IPPP]” but not “Desktop [IPPP]” or “Blackberry [IPPP]“

I’ve read the Blackberry support and documentation, and have had service book re-sent. However, neither “Desktop [IPPP]” or “Blackberry [IPPP]” is showing up.

Seeing how you have already tried to resend the service book without any luck you may need to re-register your handheld on the network.

To register a BlackBerry Wireless Handheld on the wireless network do the following:

1. On the Home screen, click Options.

2. If you are running handheld software version 3.7.1 or later, click Host Routing Table.
If you are running handheld software version 3.6 or 3.7, click Network.

3. Click the trackwheel, then Register Now. Your handheld connects to the wireless network.

Now if that doesn’t work, you may need to contact your service provider. They will use the BlackBerry Provisioning tool to send a new service book to your handheld.
