Nigeria gets BlackBerry Connect

Globacom, Nigeria’s Second National carrier, announced today that they will launch BlackBerry Connect services into the Nigerian market this Wednesday. BlackBerry Connect provides users with “push” based email, BIS and limited BES support, such as email reconciliation and calendar synchronization.

“BlackBerry is really a global standard and we feel that Nigerians should not in this age be trailing the rest of the world. That is the underlying philosophy of the introduction of Blackberry here. If Blackberry is taking a prominent place in the positive indices of business growth in many companies across the globe, then Nigerians deserve it.”

We agree, Globacom. However, how about putting up some info on your website as to what devices Nigerians can expect BlackBerry Connect service?
