BlackBerry Pearl point of sale materials

Went for a stroll in a local mall this afternoon to a Rogers dealer and saw some point of sale materials for the Pearl. They’ve got a 2ft. cardboard Pearl on display beside a fact-sheet (facts we already knew, unfortunately) and was able to take some shots and fiddle around with their dummy phone while talking to the manager.

Talked about the BlackBerry 8800, and to my surprise, she knew what I was talking about and said a friend of hers “works for RIM and was playing around with it around her.” Such carelessness! I’ll see if I can squeeze more information out - literally.

Maybe you should head back to that store. That large white button on the cardboard display does something. Head over, and press it. See what happens. ;)

One of the topics the guys here at BBCool enjoy touching on most is the marketing efforts put forth by our pals at RIM. We’ve seen point-of-purchase items, ginormous billboards in Times Square, and more directed efforts like the Pearl launch parties held in major metro areas. […]
