Air Canada tests the skies with BlackBerry

As soon as snow hits the ground, I’m already thinking of summer vacation, and this is good news if there’s plans to fly. Air Canada, a company that’s undoubtedly had it’s ups and downs over the years, have started the ball rolling with a plan to introduce BlackBerry handhelds into their travel solutions.

“Passengers can already make reservations with the Internet and will be able to check themselves in, and have their boarding pass on a computer wireless device such as a Blackberry and “actually pass through the control at the airport using just that.”

I’d be worried about security taking away my boarding pass BlackBerry. But this is a great step in terms of technological advancement. And maybe by then, you’ll actually get to take and use your devices on board. Good news for everyone.
