Meet the new BlackBerry jack

Sounds like it could be our new mascot - BlackBerry Jack. That’s ridiculous. But while gawking at Boy Genius’ 8300 shots, I took a little notice of the headphone jack and saw that it looked bigger than that on the 8800 and 8100 - the 2.5 mm jacks that don’t fit regular headphone inputs. Well, guess what?

I was right, and the jerk beat me to the punch (Oh, you know I don’t think you’re a jerk - relax). With the 8300, you can plug normal-sized headphones or headsets into the device. There’s some good news to wind down the week. Now where’s the green beer?

[...] Oh, and BG notes that this one has the 2.5mm headset jack, unlike the 8300 that we noticed had a 3.5mm (for normal sized headphones). What the heck is going on over at RIM? [...]
