iPhone set to replace RAZR in popularity contest, if not sales

By now, a lot of you have probably heard about the 6% market penetration the iPhone is set to nab, and how the RAZR was in a similar position back in the day. Of course the numbers throw some doubt about the iPhone, but let’s face it – the thing’s going to sell, and it’s going to be dipping into Motorola’s market at least a little bit. The big number here is the 77% of people who have heard of the iPhone, nevermind in the market to buy it. Folks buy iPods just as much for recognizability as for functionality, and the iPhone is set to be in the exact same position.
