Anywhere Abs is a fitness app that walks you through an ab exercise program from beginner to advanced. The routines are meant to be quick and efficient, giving you as good of an ab workout as possible in a small time frame.

Features include:

  • 3 levels of Difficulty.

  • Takes only 6 minutes at the Advanced Level.

Anywhere Abs is $2.99 and it’s available for the Storm and most trackball devices (except Pearl) running OS 4.5+.

Leave your feedback in the BlackBerry App World Test Center

You should now notice the BlackBerry App World Test Center category is now live and there are some free apps in it for you to try out.

The Test Center is a place where you can check out some apps in Beta, and leave your feedback on them. If you find any bugs or would like to request features, this is the place to do it. To leave feedback, just submit a review like you would any app in App World.

The latest addition to the Test Center is Role Call Reminder Lists. This app is just what it says: an app for setting reminders and taking notes. Let them know what you think.

Trapster updated to version 3.5 with custom alerts and new UI

Trapster let us know that they have updated their application to version 3.5. Updates to the latest version include:

  • Virtual Radar(R) dynamic alert area narrows and elongates based on velocity and direction of travel.
  • Trap filters allow users to customize what types of alerts they want, for example possibly a user only wants to hear “police often hide here” alerts if they are of at least medium credibility, and does not want to hear speed camera alerts at all.
  • Custom sound themes, to the voice of Arnold, Austin Powers, Yogi and Booboo, and more.
  • Native BB UI (no more DOS looking dialog boxes).
  • Improved signup process.
  • Manual location setting for BlackBerry’s that don’t have GPS, or have blocked GPS.
  • It has been tested on the Storm, Storm 2, Tour, and Bold.

This app is getting exponentially better as more users sign up and build a bigger database of speed traps. Oh yeah, and don’t speed, it’s dangerous.

Download the latest version of Trapster from Trapster.com.

Leaked OS for the BlackBerry Curve 8530

I really can’t say that this leaked OS is going to have any huge impact on the 8530, considering it launches with OS Bla1ze at CB is saying it will be the OS that TELUS will officially launch with, but I haven’t heard much about stability.

Download OS for the BlackBerry Curve 8530.

Goal.com and Handmark launch free app for soccer fans

Goal.com have partnered with Handmark to launch a free soccer news app that covers:

  • Breaking News
  • World Cup 2010
  • Champions League
  • England
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • Transfer Zone

This app was built using Handmark’s Mobile Publishing Platform (MPP), which is responsible for many of the news apps you see such as AFP.

Download the Goal.com app by going to http://m.goal.com/app from your BlackBerry.

15 free BlackBerry themes from Berry Good Themes

Berry Good themes have launched a new site with the goal of making affordable themes. The British site is selling all their themes at 99p (or $1.65 USD) and they’re pretty good about getting in new themes. What’s great is that they have a free section with 15 free themes that support many of the new OS 5 devices as well as OS 4.7.

Personally, I don’t sideload themes and I have to get them OTA. While I wasn’t able to access the site from my BlackBerry, I found that copying the link and emailing it to myself was the easiest way to OTA the theme. Just check the compatibility under the theme screenshot.

Nimbuzz launch free aggregated IM client for BlackBerry

Nimbuzz BlackBerry Buddy List

Nimbuzz for BlackBerry is now available from BlackBerry App World as well as the Nimbuzz site. The app features a ton of IM clients such as AIM, Google Talk, MSN, Skype as well as Facebook. Speaking of Skype, weren’t they supposed to launch a BlackBerry client 6 months ago? Even though you can’t use the VoIP calling feature of Skype with Nimbuzz, I still wanted to try it out. When I logged in with my Bold 9700, I got an error message saying the Skype service wasn’t working and they’re “looking into it.”

Nimbuzz is free to download and supports BlackBerrys running OS v4.6 or higher. Just go to Nimbuzz.com from your BlackBerry or hit up App World.

BlackBerry Holiday Wish: Gift cards for BlackBerry App World!

This year for the holidays, I would very much like BlackBerry App World to offer gift cards. While I don’t believe they are going to do it, I think it would be a huge opportunity to introduce new BlackBerry users to the world of downloading apps and opening up the market to more app users.

Everyone else is doing it:

The BlackBerry Cool store offers gift cards in 15, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100, 150 and 200 dollar amounts. The gift card amounts go fairly high so that you can have enough money on the account to get accessories too. App World gift cards wouldn’t have to go that high, but I guess there’s no harm in offering it. One of the features that Mobihand offers that would appeal to App World users is the product-specific gift certificate. I would love to see App World include a feature called “Buy this for a friend.”
