fgVoIP App Allows VoIP Calls Over WiFi via PBX and SIP Provider

When we last wrote about FgVoIP, they had developed a VoIP client that lets you make and receive VoIP calls on all BlackBerrys but they had a limited amount of device support. The company let us know that their client is now available on all BlackBerry Devices right up to and including OS 5.0.

The fgVoIP app allows SIP-enabled VoIP calls over WiFi and features Click2Dial which lets users make VoIP calls in exactly the same way as regular GSM calls. With Click2Dial, whenever the user makes a call using the standard BlackBerry dialer, the call is automatically routed over VoIP when in range of a WiFi network – no user intervention is required. Calls made whilst outside Wi-Fi range use the cellular network as normal. Users can also choose to enable or disable VoIP calls for specific numbers through an exclusion list.
